Castings undergo a shot blasting process to:
- remove residues of coatings from the surface of the casting, which partly adhere to the casting after the casting process,
- remove sand from inside of the casting
- remove residue of burr after the finishing process,
- harden the casting surface,
- achieve decorative uniform appearance of the casting surface.
Surface treatment is done with following machines:
- Shot blasting machine GOSTOL, hanging type, medium: steel balls fi 0,3 mm
- Shot blasting machine COGEIM, tunnel type, medium: steel balls fi 0,3 mm
