Do you have professional qualifications that could be used and developed? We welcome to participate in our team:
- those who are interested in working as a commercial clerk in marketing to sell aluminium castings and are proficient in German and English language (location of work: Kidričevo, European countries/ Austria, Germany, Italy and others/);
- those who would like to operate CNC machines for aluminium castings working (location of work: Kidričevo, three-shift work).
Seminar papers and diploma theses
We lend support to research work of university and secondary school students from different fields: metallurgy and mechanical engineering, economy, marketing, informatics and other complementary fields. Preparation of seminar papers and diploma theses is possible after the topic has been approved, thus it is necessary to first put in a written application.
Currently the following topics are available:
1. Influence of mould surface coatings on castability and mechanical properties of aluminium castings
Candidates: Students of mechanical engineering
Scope and content of the thesis: applied research in the field of interest (theory of the mould coating procedure, practical and experimental work on the chosen aluminium casting WB6, preparation of a manageable procedure in production circumstances).
Start of the diploma thesis and provisional duration: immediately, approximately 3 months, including experimental work.
2. Thermal treatment T6 and mechanical properties of thin-walled aluminium castings
Candidates: Students of metallurgy
Scope and content of the thesis: applied research in the field of interest (theory of the procedure, technical properties and purpose of thermal treatment of aluminium alloys, description of TG procedure, practical and experimental work on the chosen aluminium casting or family of similar castings).
Start of the diploma thesis and provisional duration: immediately, approximately 4 months, including experimental work
3. Parameter optimisation of CNC machining of aluminium castings WB6 and consequential stability of the machining SPC process
Candidates: Students of mechanical engineering
Scope and content of the thesis: applied research in the field of interest (theory of the aluminium alloy cutting procedure, interactions of parameters: machine, clamping device, cutting equipment and cooling medium on the casting WB6, optimisation of treatment periods and necessary conditions to ensure SPC measures on the casting after machining).
Start of the diploma thesis and provisional duration: December 2013, approximately 4 months, including experimental work.
