For 3D-modelling we use the software Catia V5, Creo and Inventor. The following functions are used most frequently:

• 3D measurement, such as draft angles check, wall thickness check, castability of the part,
• 3D modelling of feeding systems, feeders and permanent moulds to perform casting simulation,
• 3D modelling and production of drawings for permanent moulds and clamping devices (cleaning of castings, machining, 3D measuring),
• planning and examining of the optimum installation of technological equipment in the production process.
